The Hoffman brothers (Mason and Spencer), it was nigh about time to pull up casino stakes and head north to Portland. Spencer, the younger of the two, had already started gambling business there; their blog, Honyock—rounded out by casino manager Tyler Wolter and gamer Christian “Sunshine” Meinke—was pumping along into their eighth year.
The brothers had been writing together since high school, when they got their start at a local newspaper in Portland. They were always eager to try new things, and they were especially fond of online gaming. So when a friend suggested they take a shot at running a full-fledged casino, they jumped at the opportunity.
